With the stress of every day life, our body can continuingly stay in a heighten alert mode know as “fight or flight”. Join Trudy for a 2 hour interactive workshop as you learn tips and techniques on how to calm your body and mind. We will start with an assessment to understand your triggers, then Trudy will guide you through breathwork including Somatics and Vagus Nerve practices to move your body to “rest and digest”. These techniques can be done throughout your day when you need some stress relief. Trudy will provide handouts. Please bring a journal & a pen. About your guide: Trudy Lopes-Elder, RYT 550 Certifications: Breathwork & Meditation Facilitator; Somatic Educator; Myofascial Release; Reiki Practitioner; SomaYoga, as well as Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Trudy has been practicing mindfulness for over 25 years. Believing breathwork & meditation to be an essential part of mental wellness, Trudy increased her depth of knowledge by obtaining certifications in multiple yoga styles. As a teacher, she believes that helping students build on their strengths and recognizing their vulnerabilities is a path that is not only healthy, but also deeply satisfying.
